You can make a difference in the development of Chicago's playwrights.

Be an integral part in bringing the very best new plays to the stage by becoming a New Play Sponsor with Avalanche Theatre, and support the local artists who are creating tomorrow's classics.

How does it work?

Sponsorships are project-specific donations of $500 and above. Your contribution will go directly toward increasing the artist stipend payments for all artists who work on that project.

For example, if you choose to support a cycle of our Next Draft Series, your sponsorship will increase the amount we are able to pay our actors, directors, dramaturgs, and playwrights.

In return, your contribution will be prominently featured and acknowledged in all promotional materials, on our website, social media, and any printed materials.

Your Sponsorship Includes:

Name and/or Logo Placement: event site, social media post, email newsletter, Event Posters (50+ locations throughout Chicago)
Acknowledgment before the sponsored performance
Up to 10 complimentary tickets to the performance

Who can be a sponsor?

Anyone can be a sponsor! Individuals and businesses are welcome to contribute to the play development process.

For businesses, we are happy to coordinate a special promotion in conjunction with your partnership, if you would like to provide Avalanche Theatre audience members an offer with their ticket purchase.

For individuals, you can choose to have your contribution publicly acknowledged or kept anonymous.

Also, because Avalanche Theatre is a 501(c)(3) organization, your contribution is tax-deductible.

Can I choose my Sponsorship amount?

Yes - you are able to choose the amount you'd like your Sponsorship to be. Sponsorships are available in any amount of $500 or above.

Can I choose the project I'd like to sponsor?

Yes - you are able to choose which project you would like to sponsor. Your Sponsorship will go to increasing artist pay for that project.

Are there suggested sponsorship levels?

Yes! We suggest the following amounts in order to make the biggest impact:

$500 can increase artist pay by up to 50%
$1,000 can increase artist pay by up to 100%
$2,500 can secure all performance and rehearsal space for an entire Next Draft Cycle
$5,000 supports an entire Next Draft Cycle and increases artist pay by up to 100%
